Why I Wrote It
Because failing in public isn’t easy.
Because I wish someone had told me when I was younger that crying doesn’t make you weak, and that losing doesn’t mean you’re not enough.
Because kids need books that reflect their real-life emotions and their creativity.
I wrote this for the students I used to teach, the kids who meet me after shows and say “I saw you on TV,” and the adults who DM me saying they’re still trying to find their flavor.
